ai

Some people know me for my “AI-related activities”, which sounds vaguely criminal and is therefore staying. So I consolidated the evidence on one page.

What started as technical curiosity became a fairly elaborate relationship with consequences. Understanding hegemonic tools is the only way I know how to critique them, especially when you’re not their imagined default user.

I’m interested in synthetic images once they become convincing enough to pass as real, and in what that does to perception and authority. I use generative systems to make their construction visible rather than help them disappear.

Technically, as with every language I master, I approach AI as a grammar of fabrication. I build bespoke pipelines from crossbred models and stitched APIs. I started with ComfyUI in 2022, so most of what I use now has become idiosyncratic through practice.

Through KarmaLab, a studio I co-founded in 2026, I design hybrid pipelines across film, CGI, code, and generative systems, with transparency and environmental cost treated as part of production.

We also build public tools, among them a bias layer designed to make generative systems a little less eager to reproduce the same old world.

I spoke about this in an interview for ARTE, it’s in French though.

For the English speaking, I also made two parodies, Moustache and Women in AI, in response to two rather problematic AI contests, pushing their gender politics and generative biases until the machinery showed.

And that’s probably why I’m one of the Top 50 women AI filmmakers, recognized by Forbes.

>> I’m spending a lot of time speaking in rooms about these questions these days, in English and French. Some of those rooms are free to enter, so check Upcoming and come say hi.
