Research Interests

Sociolinguistics, critical pedagogy, migration studies, anthropology of belonging, affective computing, participatory arts, artistic practice in situations of crisis, systems theory, and cognitive neuroscience.

Currently, my research examines the concept of crisis through both linguistic and cultural lenses. I approach crises similarly to learning a new language as an adult, as well as technological shifts, investigating their impacts on human expression and behavior.
